Help refugee children

Help refugee children Every day, all day, all over the world there are still thousands of refugees fleeing their home country. Once they made is to Europe or elsewhere, they are still victims of malnutrition and dehydration; sicknesses and fears. With our music project we hope to raise money for the refugee children on the Greek island Lesbos and the refugee children of Stichting Vrolijkheid. Hamid Tabatabaei, an Iranian composer has composed several tracks for dance, theater and film and released several cd's. He composed his latest piece especially for this music project. It is inspired by the Iranian children's book: The little black fish. This story symbolises hope and the pursuit of further development; to get rid of a monotonous lifestyle, to flee and see the rest of the world. At the time this work was interpreted as being against the dictatorial authority, which is why it was placed on the black list of forbidden books in Iran. The compostion is for harp, flute, cello and a storyteller. The aim of this music project is to raise money in order to be able for Hamid Tabatabaei to record his piece of music. Once these piece is recorded we want to sell the cd's and give several concerts. Hamid will donate all the proceeds from the sale of these cd's and the concerts to the refugee children on the Greek island Lesbos and Stichting Vrolijkheid. And, of course all the money we have received over the 3500 euros will also immediately be donated to the refugee children. Music and text, storyteller: Hamid Tabatbaei Harp: Sari van Brug Flute: Gerda Thorn Cello: Imre Keblusek
